Campfire and Storytelling
SkitsAre you looking for a fun way to play? Consider a night of skits from Rabbit Hat Productions! We can provide a message to meet your needs, from simply fun to evangelical Christian. With skits that are funny, skits that are serious and some that are a combination, we can create a program just for you.
SongsIt's time for a sing-a-long. From classic camp songs to rowdy new ones to Christian praise-and-worship, we can provide the music for a night of fun around the campfire or to add some extra spice to you Sunday School events. Groups may even examine the lyrics to determine which songs will be most suitable for their purposes!
StorytellingStorytelling is an ancient tradition, reflecting the beliefs and cultures of people from all continents. Let us share with you tales from different eras and genres, ranging from folk tales from around the world to the bragging of the Voyageur to stories from different religions. For groups looking for an educational emphasis, students will have the opportunity to discuss how the different narratives are similar, key ways in which they differ and analyze basic patterns in a story. Students can also develop their own stories and share them with their classmates. Our programs include Folk Tales, American Tall Tales, Ghost Stories (which can be adapted to your location), Joke Stories, Native American Tales, Voyageur Bragging and more! We can specialize in one genre or present a wide-range of tales to meet the needs of your group. For groups looking for an educational emphasis, students will have the opportunity to discuss how the different narratives are similar, key ways in which they differ and analyze basic patterns in a story. Students can also develop their own stories and share them with their classmates. Our Storytellers are also available as guest lecturers for your group. Our staff have done presentations for Central Michigan University, in-services for public schools, local libraries and even the YMCA. You can choose to make Storytelling a part of your program or as a stand-alone activity. We guarantee an experience you will never forget! Barry's Note While we are always willing to work with groups to meet their needs, some of our ghost stories are simply too scary for younger audiences. We encourage groups to allow our staff to determine what stories are appropriate for younger children.
